Different arenas.
One operating signature.
Build relationships before they are needed. Make complexity clear. Move decisively without trading away governance, credibility or public trust.

One signal · three frequencies
Government.
Technology.
Music.
Not three separate careers. One ability to make complex systems work for the people inside them.
Government, influence & delivery
Trusted in the room. Useful after the meeting.
Executive advice is only valuable when it survives contact with politics, operations and public scrutiny.
Decision support when the stakes were highest.
As Chief of Staff, provided executive support to the Commissioner, Premier and Chief Health Officer during Queensland’s largest peacetime emergency response — helping coordinate up to 16,000 personnel and the closure of 3,337 km of borders within 24 hours.
From policy problem to ministerial outcome.
Led reform of Queensland’s $500,000 homicide reward policy, including the Cabinet submission and 25 ministerial responses approved and announced by the Police Minister.
A statewide system rebuilt around outcomes.
Led intelligence reform associated with FY16/17 increases of 202% in arrests, 97% in charges and 1,656% in seizures — alongside a capability framework delivered to 1,038 members.
Trusted across institutional boundaries.
Chaired the Australasian Human Source Working Group and worked across the AFP, ACIC, ASIC, ATO and AUSTRAC — building the relationships required before the hard decisions arrive.

The creative side is not a footnote
Before public service, there was music.
My first job was in a music store. My second was teaching guitar and piano. Music has remained a working part of my life ever since.
Live sound engineering in my early career taught me to listen, adapt and make every contributor sound better.
I maintain a recording studio that emerging bands can use to produce demos and find their first audience.
I am building software that helps musicians discover compatible collaborators and move quickly into virtual jam rooms.
How I work
Three things I carry into every room.
Relationships before requests.
Trust compounds when it is built before a decision or crisis demands it.
Clarity before complexity.
Leaders need the signal, the consequence and the decision — not the jargon.
Progress with permission.
Innovation moves faster when governance, legitimacy and public confidence are designed in.

“I build relationships before I need them.”
